Overview 2019 – 2020

At the beginning of the year 2019, Positus Capital funds the US-based educational business Meta Learning, www.metalearningglobal.com. Led by Nicholas J. Martino; this non-campus, tutor-led education model is gaining significant traction in the provision of effective, alternative learning for 13 to 18-year-olds. META Learning seeks to redefine excellence in the 21st century through empowering our educators with a creative, hands-on approach to multidimensional education. That’s why Meta teaching is centred around three transformative competencies: creating new value for complex issues, reconciling tensions between ideas and people, and taking responsibility for their actions. The investment company, Positus Capital firmly believe that transitioning into 21st-century adulthood with these competencies in hand enables our students to become the change-makers their universities, businesses, and communities will need. META strive to move away from compliance-based education, and towards impact-driven education. And to focus on impact means empowering learners to take responsibility for their actions and for their learning. It means teaching students to interlink personal needs, community needs, and societal needs to projects they want to be held accountable for. Positus Capital invested in Meta Learning as they recognize the growth potential within the business model. 2020 and 2021 are curriculum building years and Meta looks forward to launching in September 2022.
